One year back one of my senior went to IIT chennai to give a paper presentation.Even though he was not able to win any prize he was expressing his intellectual satisfaction to me.
He was saying that when people there were giving ppts the judges were asking how he got that idea, what made you to take this topic, what concepts you learned through this and can you further improvise this etc..Eventhough the topic seemed unrealistic(without practical application) but still they were inquiring the conceptual ideas the students were having.
And after that he added.This is what is lacking in jntu :an intellectual satisfaction.They are too much into application part rather than the learning part and conceptual part.
Of course there is a much deeper reason that we are eamcet students and they are IIT students.There will be this difference.We are not the cream of intellectuals.The government made us somehow engineers for some employment sake.
